Saffron exports increase to 172.7 million USD in 10 months

The United Arab Emirates is the biggest customer of Iranian saffron with the purchase of the product worth more than $61.739 million, followed by Spain with the purchase of Iranian saffron worth more than $38 million.

China comes in third place with $32 million worth of saffron purchases in the first ten months of the current Iranian calendar year.

Iran is one of the world’s main producers of saffron; more than 90% of its production is exported abroad. but it isn’t one of the main saffron exports.
